Formation of teachers’ preparation to the distance training of learners

AIM OF THE PROJECT

Develop technology of forming teachers’ preparation to the distance training of learners and mechanisms for its implementation, educational and methodological resources to ensure the teachers’ preparation to the distance learning in accordance with the legal documents in the field of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

TASKS OF THE PROJECT

1 To analyze the current state of teachers’ preparation for the organization of distance education of learners in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The analysis will be conducted on the base of studying regulatory documents, publications and other materials on the implementation of distance education in the Republic, as well as the state of the organization of distance learning in Almaty region’s educational institutions. The analysis will identify the current state of training teachers to work in distance education and identifies prerequisites for development of technology for forming teacher’s preparation for distance learning.

2 Identify and substantiate system’s components of teachers’ training to the implementation of distance education.

Studying of legal documents in the sphere of education, psychological and pedagogical research on the problems of training teachers for distance learning, domestic and foreign experience will help to determine the system’s components of the training teachers to the distance training of learners, determine approaches to the formation of teacher preparation to the distance training of learners, develop a model and technology for the formation of teacher preparation for distance learning.

3 Develop programmed and methodological materials for the formation of future teachers’ preparation to the distance training of learners.

Developed modular educational programs of pedagogical specialties for universities and educational-methodical complexes of disciplines considering peculiarities of organizing distance training of learners can be applied in the system of bachelors’ preparation in psychological-pedagogical profile and to promote the formation of future teachers’ professional preparation to work in the condition of distance education.

4 To develop programmed and methodological materials for retraining and advanced training of teaching staff for the formation of preparations to the implementation distance training of learners.

The developed programs, the content of retraining and advanced training courses for teachers, and resource support for training teachers to work in distance education can be used in post-professional education and contribute to the formation of teachers' preparation to implement distance learning, ensuring the quality of training that meets modern requirements and challenges of society, and solving problems of creating an effective distance education environment.

5 Approbation of the developed model and technology for forming the teacher's preparation to the distance training of learners, analysis of research results and development of recommendations.

Approbation will be held on the basis of Almaty region’s educational institutions. The results of the testing will provide the basis for the realization of technology for the formation of teachers' preparation to work in the conditions of distance education in the system of professional education. A set of theoretical, empirical and statistical data processing methods will be used to analyze the results of the study.

ТHE RELEVANCE OF THE RESEARCH

Тhe relevance of the research is determined by the social order of society on training teachers to the work in condition of distance education that have all the necessary qualities for this work, as well as the presence of contradictions:

- between the objective need of society for a teacher who successfully implements professional activities in the context of distance education and the lack of teachers’ preparation to implementation of distance learning effectively;

- between the need of formation a teacher's preparation to implement distance learning and the lack of development of methodological approaches and technologies for its formation.

EXPECTED RESULTS

1) Publication in the foreign peer-reviewed scientific journal "Talent Development & Excellence". The quartile of the impact factor is Q2.

2) Publication of the manual on distance learning methods, methodological recommendations for the organization of the educational process using distance learning technologies in Kazakhstan's publishing houses.

3) Getting copyright certificates for the developed educational materials.

4) Distribution of research results among potential users, the community of scientists and the general public through publications, presentations at seminars and conferences, obtaining copyright certificates, etc.

5) Other measurable results in accordance with the requirements of the tender documentation and the specifics of the project:

1. The field of application and target consumers. The received materials will be presented in the form of a book at the end of the research. These materials will be used by :

Institutions of secondary, technical and professional, higher and additional education to determine the pedagogical resources and the possibility of providing a wide range of people with equal educational opportunities in all regions of the country and beyond;

Researchers and teaching staff to develop a modern theory of professional education, teachers of educational institutions to expand the educational environment as well as students, undergraduates, doctoral students of pedagogical specialties.

2. Impact of expected results on the development of the main scientific direction and related fields of science and technology

Influence on the development of new pedagogical technologies of professional education, including changes in the structure and content of teaching and upbringing methods; on the development of educational content for the system of distance training of learners.

3. Application and (or) possibility to commercialize obtained scientific results:

The results are applicable in the educational process of higher education institutions, the practice of additional professional education. The possibility of commercialization means to expand the types of educational services and the volume of their provision at the regional level: retraining, professional development of teachers, the organization of new non-contact forms of education, including distance learning.

4. Social, economic, environmental, scientific and technical, multiplicative and (other) effect of the project results with justification

Building a system of training teachers for working in the condition of distance education on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach and integration of academic disciplines within the educational program.

Development of a methodological base for providing educational institutions with teachers who are ready to solve the problems of Informatization of education and implementation of distance learning.

Satisfying country’s needs in well trained specialists.

Reduced financial costs due to the reduced need for retraining specialists for the distance education system.

Increasing the knowledge and human resources accumulated by the national higher school.

5. Other direct and indirect results of the project indicating their qualitative and quantitative characteristics

Increasing the market attractiveness and image of the University.

Expanding the information competence of employees and faculty of the university.

Increasing the flexibility of the university and the speed of reaction in terms of adaptation to changing external conditions.
